I’m baaaack!

Wow, guys. Wow. It’s been like, a million years since my last blog post. Life sometimes gets in the way of blogs though, but I really wanted to update and let my lovely followers know what’s been going on the last few months.

Last time I updated, I was a couple months pregnant and Mike and I were engaged. I’m now 7 months pregnant and Mike and I are MARRIED! Gasp! I know, I know.

It all happened so fast. We decided that we didn’t want a huge wedding. Not even a small wedding. We wanted to elope. And boy, did we. This past May, we went to Paris for 16 days and while we were there, got married beneath the Eiffel Tower. We were married on May 28 at 6pm (Paris time) and it was absolutely perfect for us.

wSo now, we’re married and in two months going to have a beautiful little baby! My pregnancy has been going well. I’ve had some painful times. Some restless times. Some crazy times. But also lots of great and wonderful times. Baby is kicking like crazy all the time! I also haven’t gained a whole lot of weight, and still working out and doing my yoga! I seem to have these bursts of energy through the day, which I take advantage of. I’m 7 months pregnant and my belly has finally just popped and STILL people don’t know I’m preggy!

baby4All in all, it’s been a crazy year! And on top of all of that, Mike and I are moving! We’re staying in the same city, just wanting more space and moving soon, which is stressful with a capital stress!

So, that’s that. I’m sure there is way more, but that will be for another post πŸ˜‰

Gasp! We’re Engaged! And going to Paris! And having a baby!

The title says it all! Mike and I recently got engaged, this past April 5 πŸ™‚ He proposed with THE most perfect and beautiful ring of my life.

As some of you know already, we’re expecting our first baby this coming September and couldn’t be happier. Now, we’ve decided to pack up for Paris next month! We’ve never been and we are beyond excited.

My pregnancy is going well, I’m almost 18 weeks and STILL have yet to gain much weight or even much of a belly. But I’m enjoying it all very much.

Just wanted to keep my loyal followers up to speed on life and why I haven’t been updating as much! I sowwie!

I hope you’re all as blessed as I am and I wish you all the most lovely Easter weekend with your friends and family.

Big News!

Ello everyone!

I know, I know. It’s been like a million years. I took a little break from updating my blogs. Alot has been going on these past few months though, so I think I have an ok excuse πŸ˜‰

First of all, I’ve been teaching more yoga classes which was great. I love what I do and that’s a wonderful thing to be able to say. Second, I’ve been trying to help my sweetheart, Mike, achieve his dream in writing his very own graphic novel. We’ve been bouncing ideas off of eachother and I know that whatever he comes up with, will be great.

And finally… drum roll… Mike and I are so very happy to announce that we’re having a baby! Yep, that’s right. Yours truly is preggy πŸ™‚ I’m almost 11 weeks now and so far, it’s been a draining but amazing experience. I’ve had “morning” sickness all day, everyday since about week 5 and if anything, I seemed to have LOST weight. But I can’t wait to start showing, and I can’t wait for September when our little one is due to arrive. Mike and I (and our families) are so beyond happy and we can’t wait to be parents. I couldn’t have asked for a better father for my little one πŸ™‚

So I hope you can all forgive me for not updating as much, but like I said, life has got in the way. In the most loveliest of ways ❀

Ps. This is how we announced our news on Facebook. Stick Dinosaur style πŸ˜‰

YTT – Day 1

Day 1 of my yoga teacher training was an exhausting one! Wow! So much to learn and take in, but all in all it was a pretty great day. It was also the hottest day of the year so far here, so it was a double whammy! 35 Degrees here, and it felt like 43 degrees with humidity! Insane, I know. I even walked home in the blazing heat, because I’m weird like that. I don’t know if it was all the excitement of the day or what, but I didn’t even realize how warm it was out until (get this) I got home! It seems hotter in our place than outside. Blah. I’m down to my skivvies almost right now writing this. Haha.

Anyways, back to the yoga teacher training experience…

There are 10 of us in the class, so it’s very hands on and personal, which I like. My classmates seem like good people, and the teacher is awesome. She preggo’s too, but can still rock at all of the moves, which I very much admire in her.

We went through introductions, course overviews, and then got into a full 75 minute yoga practice. Which was nice, but very warm in this heat! I also just got a fancy new (and lovely) yoga mat to kick it all off with, but it was almost TOO new. It was very slippery. But, I managed.

The lovely yoga mat Mike got me. Yes, yes of course it's pink.

After the yoga practice, we then dove into theory and history of yoga and the explanation of poses. We talked a little sanskrit, and did alot in our workbooks and text. We even have homework! Not too heavy though, just a little reading and we have to take a test and find out which “Dosha” we are. There are three types you can be. Vata, Pitta and Kapha. I happen to be Vata with a little Kapha. Mostly Vata though. Which pretty much means this: Vata Dosha. I encourage you to take the quiz also! Oh! We also did headstands and yea, I rocked it. I got very light headed after though, as I’m so thin, but I was proud I was able to do it πŸ™‚

Me doing a headstand! It's not perfect, but it's a start.

We also did some meditations and at the end, the teacher even ended things off with a mini neck massage for each of us. I know, right?!

Right now, I’m feeling it though. My pains are painful and my exhaustion is exhausting. It was a good first day, just alot to take in. And it will only get harder!

I’m up for the challenge. I just hope my body is too! πŸ™‚

(Ps. I’m just going to blog my YTT experience on here, and perhaps make a separate blog another time. It’s just easier when I already have so many great followers on here that want to know about my journey.)

100+ Followers? Gasp!

I started The Feistiest Of Them All on August 8, 2012. I never expected anyone other than my boyfriend and my Momsie to read my thoughts, jokes, recipes and writings to be honest, but now I have over 100 followers on this blog and almost 100 on my other bloggy blog, Beautifully Vegan. Now, I know that may not be alot to some, but it’s alot to me! I’d much rather have 100 followers that truly enjoy what I have to say, than 1000 that could care less πŸ™‚

I wanted to thank all of you lovely and fantastical people who follow, comment and like my posts. It means alot πŸ™‚ Please, share my page with others and continue to follow me πŸ™‚ Just, not in a creepy way. If you’re going to do that, be sure to stay in the bushes where I can’t see you :p

Thank you again! You’re all wonderful.

Gasp! I’m terrible.

The title says it all, my lovelies. I. Am. Terrible! I haven’t posted on here in forever! Longer than forever even! Life got in the way a little bit, but I promise to continue to grace you with my charm & wit from now on!

…Until the next time I’m terrible.

I’m off to Calgary tomorrow to visit with family & spend some time in Banff as well, which I’m CRAZY excited for! πŸ™‚

I shall post more while I’m there on this bloggy blog and my other one! I hope you’re all doing lovely.

Exciting News!

I am so excited to announce that I have been accepted and am now signed up for a… DRUM ROLL… YA Certified Yoga Teacher Training! Ahh! I know, I know. Ok, allow me to calm down…

Ok, I’m good. Seriously though, I am so beyond excited (and maybe a tad anxious!) to finally be doing my yoga teacher training course. I’ve been wanting to do this for so long, and finally I found a training that fits my needs perfectly.

My boyfriend is so amazing. He has supported me through all of my decision making and is just as excited for me to do this as I am.

I plan to make a blog, dedicated to my teacher training experience. More details on that soon πŸ™‚

I can’t wait to be apart of this, what I think will be, truly life changing experience.

21747_10151085113747143_1344677441_nOk, so that Jay-Z reference in the title was a little far fetched, maybe. But I still think it was rather clever. And I bet you have the song in your head now! Muahaha!

So, this is my 100th post for The Feistiest Of Them All! Yay! I love to write and express myself in fun and unique ways. That is why my blogs are important to me. I realize that when you come read my posts, it ‘aint the New York Times. You won’t find any best selling author material type stuff in here. (Well, maybe. I’m a damn good writer.) But you all keep coming back, and for that I adore you! I joke and say that the only ones that read my posts are my boyfriend and my Momsie. But in reality, I actually have ALOT of “followers”. I get alot of likes and comments as well, on this blog and my other one, “Beautifully Vegan”.

I appreciate you lovely people coming and checking out what I, a feisty redhead, has to say πŸ™‚

Thank you.

Peace, love & sarcasm,
